Opera at Last Night of Prague Proms

Prague Proms brought us fragments of the works of Giuseppe Verdi.

A sold out night in the the Municipal House presented guest soloists of La Scala Theatre, accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Kühn Mixed Choir both under the baton of Marcello Rota.
The soloists and the orchestra as ussually proved their qualities, but it is necessary to highlight the choir which in the second half of the concert moved the audience to a longlasting standing ovation. The trumpeters supported the choir in the triumphal march / played on trumpets with a single valve - especially designed for the opera Aida) from both sides of the balcony.
This year´s Prague Proms is over, but again  it has proved to be the highlight of summer Prague events.
