The eighth annual Prague Proms opened on the Wenceslas Square

Lord Mayor of Prague Mr. Bohuslav Svoboda officially launched the eighth annual Prague Proms on Saturday June 9, at 8 PM.
The stage on the Wenceslas Square hosted the Czech National Symphony Orchestra with their Best of Hollywood Nights, conducted by Tomáš Brauner.
On June 16, the trumpet wizard and Grammy Award winner Nicholas Payton will in the world premiere introduce his new composition especially written for Prague Proms and entitled Black American Symphony. The CNSO will be conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio, and the program includes also works by Gershwin and Bernstein.
Jazz Efterrätt will introduce the latest program of this band in the Žofín Garden on June 20. The magnificent seven, or in other words Mnozil Brass, an amusing and enchanting Austrian brass septet will entertain the audience in the Smetana Hall on June 24.
